From UN campaigns against legal child abuse and other organizations that work against child abuse, the US is often singled out as one of the worst places for children.
Most people here think spanking with a hand is not abuse, and I'm in that category. Maybe we're the weird ones. That doesn't change my mind though

It's "more" legal in the south though. Maybe it's still legal there to hit a kid with a belt, which I'm totally against. But the south is like a different country

I actually think I probably wouldn't spank any kids I might have in the future. But I'm not against it.
I'm not against spanking either. Or hitting a child on the fingers lightly on the fingers if it's not supposed to touch something, like a hot plate. But it is hard to determine where the limit is which is why I don't think I could ever spank a child.
I was mostly just curious about how it was in the US and a comment like mine usually get answers whereas some "nicer" comment would not give an answer. And I have too much sarcasm inside me so it leaks out all the time.
