Lest someone invoke aircraft carriers or nukes.

I still say shotgun if they get to close, preferably a sawed off pistol grip 12 gauge pump with alternating slugs and shot, and an automatic rifle at greater distances. Obviously this the opposite order in which they would ideally be employed.
