Papal infallibility doesn't mean he can't make mistakes. It means that if the pope declares/promulgates a dogma/universal teaching on faith and morals that he isn't wrong about that doctrine of faiths and morals. Now to be considered Papal infallibility the pope actually has to declare that he is now stating a doctrine of faith and morals, before making the declaration.
Because of this the only incident of papal infallibility in the 20th century was a statement by Pope Pius the 12th that the Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus, ascended into heaven body and soul instead of dying here on earth.

Future Pope stalled on removing child molesting priest, even though the Bishop wanted him defrocked

The Pope should resign and the Church needs to reform itself.

They're only ad hominem when the target is a human being, so that wasn't. *NM*

And so the problem of having a theoretical ultimate power in anthing shows itself.

There is a power greater than Benedict/Ratzinger, a power greater than the pope on earth

I find their continual insistence that nothing inappropriate on Ratzinger's part occured sickening.
