it does not mean "if my opponent assaults my character, he is wrong and has nothing more accurate to say and thus I am right"

It just means "The assaulting of my opponent's character does not mean that I am wrong because he called me a ______" It also probably means that your opponent doesn't even find you or your argument worth acknowledging. Ad hominem attacks are a logical fallacy, but using a logical fallacy doesn't magically prove your opponent right.

And since your "point" was that even married men molest, he didn't even prove your point by saying "imma rape you" or anything.

In other words, do understand the words you're tossing out before you use them. It makes you sound like even more of an idiot.
