I have spent a fair amount of time researching the Nikon and if I go that route it will be the D5000. I will spend some time looking at the Canon cameras over the next few days and make decision. I am pretty stoked about it. I have always wanted a good camera but have never been willing to drop the money for one. The only thing that really worries me is it seems like the kind of hobby I could get really obsessed with:D
