Don't forget what high end really is though PhotoJim Send a noteboard - 15/04/2010 02:04:08 PM
At one of the studios where I work, most of the shooting is done with a Hasselblad H3DII which runs roughly $30K without a lens. My shooting partner uses a Canon 1Ds MKII which cost her just over $8k three years ago. I'm slumming it with a Canon 5D MKII which I've had for almost a year and was $2900 body only.

Don't forget that most pro's replace the body every 2-3 years.

And that is before we start talking lenses. I have 14 lenses in my shooting lineup currently. I still have a few 'cheap' lenses in my lineup which brings the average cost down some. But even with the 'cheap' glass, the average cost is roughly $650.
Everybody was Kung Fu fighting!

Not to be rude but who are you? And I suppose equally important, where are we?
