I'll give you your wide angle. I have a 14 2.8 and a 14-70 4.0L that I rarely use. Also I'm shooting on full frame so 14 is REALLY wide.
full frame.. mmmm. I'm not quite ready for full frame yet, but it's coming,I promise!
I shoot the D90, and have the kit 18-105 3.5, 60 mm 2.8, 50 mm 1.8 and the best in show, 17-55 2.8. Oh, and I just bought a film camera - but I got the N70, and I'm not too thrilled with it. Will be upgrading that sooner than later I think.
I usually shoot with the 17-55 2.8
My most used lenses are the 50 1.4 and the 70-200 L. The 90 TS also gets a lot of work from me.
What really gives me a bit of lens wood is the 400 2.8L IS USM. But for what I'd use it for, I can't justify spending that kind of money. Decent used car or lens? I'd have to win the lottery for my wife to agree to that one.
In my group, one person came to a meet with the 70-200 2.8.. and like 5 people went out and bought that lens lol. I thought about it but like I said A. I'm all about wide angle, and B. That is just way too heavy to lug around town all the time
