For those who don't remember/don't know, OnLive is a service that aims to move the processing grunt work from your desktop pc, to a server farm. The idea is that, via a super-duper compression protocol, you will play the game on OnLive's servers, over the internet.

As you might imagine, there's quite a bit of skepticism surrounding this kind of idea. Still, OnLive has been in development for a long time, and its developers have made some pretty fantastic claims. Journalists who have tried early releases have also been impressed, though the conditions for those sorts of tests have been, of course, optimal and not necessarily "real world."

In any case, the service has allowed people to sign up to be a beta tester for quite a while now, but now they're actually IN beta. It's not too late to sign up either, so if you're interested, hit the link below. My request: sign up. I'm really interested in this, and want to know if it works anywhere near as well as claimed. This is quite literally the next revolution in gaming. . .IF it works. I'm quite skeptical for the time being.
