One or a small group of people play a video game, taking screenshots or video, and comment on it. Often, the way they play is determined by how the message board votes, or they'll start off the game with an odd goal, like "kill everyone" or "collect every fluffy bunny" or "get everyone to declare war on you at once"

Sometimes they're funny, sometimes the poster makes up an entire fiction (see the game of Sim City 4 where the poster pretended to be trapped in some sort of demiplane of hell, or the aforementioned Animal Crossing Let's Play).


They can be quite entertaining.
