The problem is that the difficulty for bosses is so varied. I've played games, FF4 comes to mind, where the final boss is so painful and frustrating that I've almost given up at the very end.

Then again I've played some games where the final battle is between me and a wheel chair bound, cross eyed hobbit. And I've got the BFG9000. ^_^

So I understand your pain. :)
