I got massacred at AoE2 multiplayer though.

My obsessive habit of getting all available tech (while playing the Byzantines no less) was truly a crippling flaw .


I had a similar issue once when I tried AOE 1 or 2 (I forget which) on multiplayer. I enjoy the slow build and development of the civilization. So while my guys were still just picking berries, my opponent already had a fleet of scorpions headed my way.
