Ok, just picked up Black. About an hour in. Impression: Best of the series.

A few factoids to sell that idea:
1. You will encounter 100% new Pokemon through to the end of the Elite Four. Previously existing Pokemon ONLY show up after that point. It's very nice, because new Pokemon are the only reason I care about new Pokemon games.
2. The intro cutscene is story-based, and shows the set up of some sort of... plot. Involving newfangled things like conflict and characters.
3. All TMs are now like HMs: They can be used as many times as you want once you get them.
4. The annoying beeping sound when you're low health? Yeah, they still have it, but it's now worked into the beat of the "low-health" music.
That said, if you don't like or are tired of Pokemon games, you still won't like this one. *shrug*
