Sigh. The only character who has really grabbed my interest is Varric. The graphics are actually better than I was expecting, now that I've installed the high-res texture pack. The story... well, I haven't been playing for a terribly long time, but what I have seen of it is suffering from ME2 syndrome. And having the dialogue wheel is really weird.
Some pet peeves: I really dislike not being able to craft potions on the fly. Combat is a little frenetic for my tastes; I'm playing a rogue, and the combination of slow and SUPERFASTNINJAPOUNCE is pretty disorienting.
Things I do like: Varric. The dog (whom I named Carver). And, uh, the opening scene gives me hope that there will be politics. Hopefully the plot will pick up and blow me away; it did in Origins. Anyway. What do you think of the sequel to DA? Better? Worse? The same?

Better and worse are too 1-dimensional. It's different. Very different.

No agony yet, but I was torn between the smuggler and the mercenary in Kirkwall.

It's a great $20-30 game. Definitely not worth $60. *NM*

So far, I'd disagree. It's worth the full-price. Again though, only 4 hours in. *NM*

It's picking up a bit. I'm just getting tired of Kirkwall. Still not a $60 game.

I've heard a lot of nasty things about how the release of that game was handled.

Advice: get Wynn (or whatever the healer's name is) first, as far as party members go.
