Other than Fran, all of the characters are white, blonde hair, and I think even blue eyed. The only diversity to the group comes with the only character that is a different species. All of the characters with black hair who join your group only do so very very briefly.

I like having some more diversity, racial or even just hair colour wise. It just makes it seem more realistic and isn't so strange to look at. All of the good guys are blonde? Strange.


I hadn't noticed really.

More diversity would be cool. Black characters in Final Fantasy are just usually Mr. T clones like Barrette (sp?) in final fantasy VII. That doesn't mean they can't go another route and say introduce more different species. THAT would be cool.

They should make a main character as a moogle for a game sometime too. That would be awesome. At least a playable character in this game though the moogles I have seen so far haven't joined the fight with me yet and I don't really expect any will but it would be sweet to get one to have in your party. I am holding out hope that i will get to at least see a moogle fight.


Definitely haven't played XIII so I didn't realize that Square stopped the semi intentional proto racism in reference to black characters in recent games.
