They just run the same uninstallers and "pc cleaners" that people can do at home, though. Such things help, but will invariably leave stuff behind. Sometimes the cleaning programs miss things, and other times it's hard to tell what's crap and what's not. Nah, the easiest way to be sure things are clean is definitely just to install a fresh copy of something.
