Re: Mine was doing that when I first got it. Fox and Ravens Send a noteboard - 22/05/2011 08:31:31 AM
My friend has an xbox that he bought like 4 months ago. One of the newer ones. He's been having a problem where the ventilation warning comes up that shuts the console down until it "cools down". Well, the problem is he would play for about 20-30 mins and then that warning would come up. This would happen about 2 or 3 times, one after another, and then after that it would run just fine. I was wondering if any of you guys have heard of this before or know of a way to fix it (because google searches came up with nothing). It's still under warranty so I'm VERY wary of taking it apart. I'd much rather just send it in but I wanted to see if any of you have heard of this before we made a decision.

I had mine standing up and it turns out that was my issue. When I laid it down it worked perfectly. I still don't understand why it wasn't working right like that.

Maybe we should try standing it up. It's on it's side now. Thanks. We'll see if that helps. That would be so weird if that actually works though. Maybe they'll need some more support in QC.

Just to be sure, may we assume that there is, in fact, no problem with the ventilation? - 22/05/2011 08:07:42 AM 264 Views
