Eh, I mostly just wasn't a fan of espionage's mechanics. I don't think it really changed much, tho

I thought it got bogged down under some of the expansions though.
Bogged down how? For the most part, it just added some units and buildings and civs, right? The major additions I can think of are Corporations and Espionage, and I honestly rarely use either.
I amuse myself.
Civ 5: It's the best.
