It sounds like Origin's contract intentionally violates Steam's, because EA wants to be that way. - Edit 2

As if exclusivity wasn't bad enough on consoles, right? :p No one's saying that with 100% surety, but it sure seems that way. Hopefully, a less vague statement will come out and clear things up.
Maybe I'll buy a hard copy of BF3, which would be the first time in a loooong while. Then again, it might require Origin like Valve games require Steam.
