Seeing as how I'm sitting in the most boring meeting ever here at work, I started day dreaming about my brand-new, shiny game at home....inFamous 2. Is anyone else besides me playing this?

I just started, but I don't have *that* much to say. Since I played and beat the first one twice (good & bad karma), when I started up this game, it gave me the option of choosing which storyline I wanted to continue. I thought that this was a very good feature. Nicely enough, I started off with many of my old powers, as well as more energy.

The power/upgrade system is a bit different, but not in a bad way. The story takes place in a New Orleans type town...so that fun. I've had to do a bit of work in the swamps too...so that's a nice feature of the game.

So far, the most interesting part is how there is now significantly more voice acting by the different characters. In the first game, all the story/movie sequences were done in a comic book style (storyboards and such). In the sequal, however, there are both storyboards as well as cut-scene movies. So that's nice.

My first impressions are good so far. Its tough playing as a good guy, because there are innocent people all over the place. If you happen to get into a shootout in the street (which is very possible), don't miss. You'll likely hit some bystander and rack up some bad karma points. Also, if you use the new melee option, don't just swing around wildly. I ended up knocking a cop into a ravine....which made all the cops mad at me and pretty much made all my good karma disappear, and I was on the evil side. (I had to re-load a previous save).

So if you're looking for a fun game until the big ones come out later in the year....and you liked the first one...go for it. I am enjoying it.
