Is anyone familiar with the new Space Marine game? (Warhammer 40K) Cannoli Send a noteboard - 27/09/2011 01:02:14 PM
I'm just trying to figure out what kind of game it is, as I have burned before by Warhammer 40K games not being what I thought. My impression is of a first person shooter, similar to Doom 3, but I have also seen indicators of being a squad-based FPS like Star Wars Republic Commando. It is only the single-player campaign I am interested in, but I am really hoping for a game more oriented around shooting and violence than puzzle-solving (even Doom 2 was a little too weighted in the latter direction for my taste). Another flawed single player FPS IMO was thr\e last iteration of Alien vs Predator, where I felt you were being led by the hand and basically playing out a story, rather than making any choices or fighting on your own (they literally told which part of the room to stand in at various times in the fight).

I know it's only been out a short while, but has anyone played or otherwise learned anything about it?
