It's pretty well advertised that a lot of big titles are releasing, starting tomorrow, and pretty much going to the end of the year.

Some notables (by no means a definitive list):

Batman: Arkham City: Oct 18

Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One: Oct 18

Battlefield 3: Oct 24

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception: Oct 31

Lord of the Rings: War in the North: Oct 31

Call of Duty: MW3 (Modern Warfare 3) : Nov 7

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: 11-11-11

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary: Nov 14

Assassin's Creed Revelations: Nov 14

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Dec 20

What game(s) are you most excited about? Are you getting it on the release day?


There are so many games coming out over the next few months that I'd love to play, but I have oh so little money to spend on games right now. I do have Skyrim pre-ordered, and will be getting to that right away. I am very excited about that game. Very.

I would love to pick up Batman: Arkham City as I really enjoyed the first game, one of the few that I actually completed all the way through without taking any large breaks or starting over. Fun and captivating game. The new game looks awesome, with more area to explore, a lot more bad guys, side-quests, sub-plots, and further refinement to the mechanics. If I had the money, I'd already be playing this game. As it is, I'll probably wait until after my birthday/Christmas and see if I can get a deal on the game, and have maybe a gift certificate or gift money to use.


Which game are you tracking but want to wait to hear what others say?


Uncharted 3... I am certain that the game will provide an engrossing, movie-like adventure. But the risk of the Uncharted games is that they haven't moved the bar much in actual game play. I am hoping that they've refined the game, added more to it, giving it some more depth of interaction with the player. I'll still eventually get to the game, but how soon might just depend on what people say about the game.
