I am not usually one for tactical war games but this game from developers 2x2 games has caught my interest. It's supposed to be a bit like Panzer General (which I have not played) but a bit more realistic.

It has a logistic system where you have to maintain your line of supply or otherwise you can get run over. Of course, you can do the same to the enemy forces. The game is supposed to be easy to pick up but still has some strategic nuance behind it. I am hoping that it will hit the sweet spot between hardcore and casual. Right now, the game only consist of the Eastern Front for now, so I hope they might do an expansion later.

Anyways, it's having its beta now and releasing next month. I think I will check it out. Only sticking point might be that it's being published by Matrix games who often price me out of buying their games.
