It is all that a sequel should be. Dannymac Send a noteboard - 31/10/2011 03:49:34 PM
It's hard to say that it is better than Arkham Asylum, because it clearly would not exist without its predecessor. It is standing, as it were, on the shoulders of a giant. That said, it makes solid progress on the formula, as well.

The mobility that made the outside areas in Arkham City so much fun as been tweaked to make maneuvering the Cityscape amazing. Just getting around the sandbox is great fun. It's one thing to feel like you are Batman in a fight sequence. To feel the same while going from one place to another? Priceless.

Let's make it clear, though, you're not going to be able to do everything. There are so many combat options that you are going to have to pick a style that is yours... you will never seamlessly use all the tricks at your disposal. That said, this is not necessarily a bad thing.

Also, the Catwoman levels are sweet. Her moveset is unique enough that it feels like a different, and still good, game.

I don't often buy games new. This one, I did. Totally worth it.
