It wasn't the fact that Serah died at the end. When they finally equated Serah's abilities with magics, having the ability to jump around time, and all that with being much like Yeul, I predicted her death.

When she didn't initially die at the end, I was somewhat shocked. In a Final Fantasy game, you can't always expect the happy ending. But just a few moments later in the end-movie, she did die....so it was a FF game.

The part that honestly left me sitting there with disbelief going on was the whole "to be continued" thing. I mean really? Is this going to turn into another Assassin's Creed II (where I get to pay three times to have the one story completed)? I was just sitting there, contemplating the storyline as a whole.

We're now 500 years after the conclusion of the initial storyline. Hope has used technology to get himself to this time. Shaz (and his son, whatever his name is) are also in this timeframe. I think that they got stuck in an anomoly or some such. Whatever. Snow is MIA. However, I'm gonna guess that he made it to 500 AF as well. Hope was able to rescue Vanielle and Fang from the crystal pillar before the end. They are still in crystal form, but they are "entact", so there's the possibility of them coming back. Noel is also in 500 AF. He's got no way to get back to the 700 AF (his time, even if he wanted to). And Lightning is turned to crystal.

So if the next game does go down...what is it gonna be Hope, Shaz, Snow, Noel, Vanielle, and Fang trying to get Lighting and Serah back? Serah is dead...as in left a body dead. Is she gonna get re-incarnated like Yuel did? The story specifically said that each Yuel was unique. As in the real Serah is gone. So unless they do some time thing again... And Lightning is taking the place of the goddess?

I don't know...I'm spastic and incoherant today becase I want a nap. Monday's at work are not fun.
