In the demo I played, there were 4 players, each a "House" (think Harry Potter).

Each turn, you draw 5 cards of teachers and students. Those 5 you draw are raw materials (they have values) to buy more cards from the center pile- you can buy Students, which act as defense against the Lovecraftian horrors that teach math and gym, and Teachers to sic on the other players.

If there were any teachers in the 5 cards you just drew (you draw from cards other people sent to you first, meaning that there's probably at least one teacher coming your way), you fight! You draw a card for each teacher, and see if the student cards you draw can defeat the teachers.

If so, excellent! everything goes to your discard pile, where it will be reshuffled in when you deplete your deck. If not, then you take some sanity damage, reduced by the defense of the students you drew.

Certain students and teachers have some extra abilities. There's also the possibility of getting little dinky free units if you can't afford anything, and the buying of items that provide static bonuses.

The object is to be the last sane student standing.

I amuse myself.

I enjoyed it immensely. Spent most of my time with tabletop stuff and D&D talks. *NM* - 10/04/2012 11:54:26 PM 165 Views
