The Mechanics overal are okay. It's mainly an adventure game after all. Though it has also tried introducing elements of 'stealth' and 'combat'. The mechanics for the combat is almost extremely poor., The stealth is done okay. However pretty much all the stealth and combat parts few and far between so you don't need to worry about that much really.


I've played Riven is the sequal to Myst and Dreamfall is 3rd person and far more engaging. The story though beats every other game I've played and quite decent number of movies as well.

Though there is the one before called: THe Longest Journey, which I'm still planning to get around to play.
Dreamfall is the second in a trilogy, thrid not out yet, or for a while.
