Assassin's Creed 3 Jeordam Send a noteboard - 20/12/2012 06:31:43 PM
Ok...now don't get me wrong. I'm a fan of the series. I like the "slow boil" of the series. Its not all exciting or anything, but instead its just living in the world.

So this is the third numbered game in the series (not counting the two games that continued off of the second game). Maybe I've hit critical mass. Maybe I've grown out of the series. Maybe I've just O.D'ed on the series, and I should take a break. I'm not sure, but this one isn't capturing me like the old ones used to.

The game is beautiful. I love the setting. The AI is improved, and the missions are just as fun. But I'm just not "feeling" it. The hunting is cool. The quick travel is a great improvement. The "enhancing the home" is cool.

But the only thing that has really grabbed me as fresh and new is the Naval battles. Now those I'm into. I really like that aspect. And I definately think that Connor (or another Assassin?) could be a "pirate" ensuring that the Templars invasion into the New World was stopped. Now that could be cool...going to various places along the eastern seaboard and the Carribean area too....that would be cool.

I don't know...maybe I just haven't gotten deep enough into the game (I haven't gotten into New York yet). Anyone else have thoughts/feelings regarding this game?
