... though I did purchase the original console for the sole purpose of playing Final Fantasy Tactics. I always had the impression consoles were geared towards games I have zero interest in, and usually those that do catch my attention are also ported to the PC (or Nintendo exclusives) so I've never really felt the need.

What have I been missing? (that's an actual question, I know I sound like I'm taking a fanboy stand against consoles, but that's really not the point.)
