when we collectively scratched our heads and said "who the f*ck is Ness?" 
That said, I have some passing familarity with it and can see why it has such a devoted fanbase. It's a pretty effective mix of cutesy and silly with some very dark elements, and left quite an impression. Cool to see that a fan game is being made!
Also, I've always wanted "8 melodies" from the original Mother on a music box.
Out of curiosity, has anyone here played EarthBound/is familiar with the Mother series?
