I put up a survey a while back, asking if people wanted new categories, and the response was an absolutely resounding "meh." 
10 replies in a week, or something like that. No one seemed overly bothered about it, so I didn't bring it up with Ben. Just because we don't have a tabletop games category doesn't mean you can't post about them, though. If it's games related, feel free to discuss it. You can use the Miscellaneous topic to cover it quite nicely.
