It's always fun to screw with your players at least a little bit. 
But anyway, definitely give PFRPG a chance when the Bestiary is out, I know you've already looked at it. My group has been running it for a month now, and we absolutely love it.
For what it's worth, I'm PCing through this first game, specifically because I don't want to DM until the Bestiary is out either.
