For example, you can throw down an Energy Field and gain some time, then play a good old Balance and get rid of all the creatures, either that or a Wrath of God.

All the above mentioned cards are rare, and pretty pricey to get your hands on.

I know there are various ways to shut down my favourite deck, but there are ways to shut down every deck, which is one of the great things about Magic. There is no such thing as a perfect deck, which keeps the game interesting.

My previous favourites tended to be all White or all Black.

My favourite mono decks are green, not because they're powerful or anything, but because it's fun to bash your opponent over the head with some 13/13s every now and then
