I'll be a DM for the first time, next week (D&D 3.5, Eberron) Raserei Send a noteboard - 13/11/2009 05:02:28 AM
Our groups previous DM missed playing a character, so he asked me to step in and run this next stint of the campaign. He's given me a pre-packaged adventure officially released by Wizards that helps players acclimate to the Eberron setting, so the encounters, traps, NPCs and what not have been more-or-less fleshed out.

But I'm thoroughly not as versed in the rules or processes in managing encounters and so forth.

Any tips/tricks/hints/evil schemes you have that could help a fella out?
That's the whole trouble. You can't ever find
a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any.
You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking,
somebody'll sneak up and write "F*ck you" right under your nose.
