Old School FPS's, yeah... MightyYT Send a noteboard - 01/12/2009 05:56:33 AM
You were missing out. Quake, Doom, Half Life...all better on PC than they ever were on consoles. Especially for multiplay. Everyone loved Goldeneye on the N64 for it's multiplay, but it could never compare to playing Quake or Half Life on line.

Modern FPS's I prefer on consoles (NOTE: By Consoles, I mean Xbox...PS3 is horrible for online play.) Xbox Live is fantastic and most games utilize it quite well. Plus, the modern controllers seem well suited for the game type. Not quite as good as a keyboard and mouse combo, but for the most part, it seems very natural.

The PC does have some great games though. The Warcraft, Diablo, and Starcraft series' are top notch. And some of the older RPG's like Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, The Elder Scrolls series', and Fallouts are some of the best games ever made.
Castle: This is so weird. I dressed up as him for Halloween.

Beckett: Me too.

As for modding, it might be cheating or it might be a whole new game - 01/12/2009 10:36:09 AM 868 Views

Team Fortress also started as a Quake mod, which led to TFC and TF2, inspired Borderlands, etc. *NM* - 01/12/2009 04:14:14 PM 315 Views
