New Year Greetings to the nerdery.
So while I got my customary 2 weeks off from work for the Christmas & New Year holidays, I had plenty of time to get my video game on. Interestingly enough, when asked what I did while over the break, I said that I saved the world & the princess....because I did.
So anyways, I beat Assassin's Creed II. Let me say that this was a great game. A good advancement over the first in the series. I look forward to the next in the series. The game was beautifully laid out. It didn't nearly as repetitive as the first one.
I also liked the ending. It was trippy and had me really thinking. So that was cool. I got close to 100%...but not all the way. Apparently there are a few secret locations that I missed somewhere along the lines. Mostly likely in the assassin tombs.
So when that game was completed, I moved onto the two games that I got for Christmas. I got The New Super Mario Bros. on the wii & then I got Dead Space on the PS3. Good times.
So I played and beat SMBros. Talk about some 2D, side-scroll, old school action. Loved it. Absolutely love the multi-player, although I have to keep ahold of myself so that I don't shout out obscenities. The worlds were fun & fresh with just the right about of old things tossed in there. Some of the levels are seriously challenging (especially on the star world). Loved the new power ups.
And now I'm on Dead Space. This game is fun...even if I have to play the game with someone else in the room. *laughs* If you've never played this game, I would say get it. If you like horror games that is. Think Silent Hill in space. So far the weapon/gear upgrade thing is cool (think of it like the Sphere Grid on FFX). The sound effects are trippin me out though.
So yeah...I expect that I'll be done with Dead Space relatively soon, and then I still have a boat load of time until the next Final Fantasy game (when's this anyways...April?). So what should I get next. I was thinking Batman: Arkam Assylum. Thoughts?

I mostly found the sound in Dead Space to be the thing, not the action.

They probably don't care for the rendition of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" then either huh?

I'm not a big horror fan, but Dead Space was quality. NSMBW was nostalgic goodness. *NM*

At first, I thought you meant how the music often cues the scares in Dead Space...
