So I just reinstalled ToEE, patched it, download the Circle of 8 modpack... I'm all set. My 5-man party IS:
Mordecai, the human LG fighter. May or may not multiclass to paladin after I get weapon specialization (longsword! Using a shield for now, until I get some full plate armor and I'll start two-handing it.
Durkon, the dwarf NG cleric of Pelor, bashing in heads with a heavy mace
Lorelai, the elf CG rogue. I'll do two levels of rogue to get Evasion and skill points in the rogue skills, and then switch over to wizard.
Mellony the human Neutral Druid. Scimiar and wooden shield.
Tammi, the 2-foot high halfling sorcereress with pink hair.
Spent last night creating the party and giving them their equipment; time to put 'em to the test!

Agreed. The Blizzard system - Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale 2 - was far superior.
