you're right, for a shooter or some similar game, the controllers are too buggy and awkward.

But it is 10x more fun to play games other games, particularly the games designed especially for Wii. I'd much rather play baseball or tennis or bowling or something like that on a Wii. I also enjoyed some of the more "normal" games, like their Shrek 3 game and one of the Star Wars games.

And part of it is how much you're willing to work with the gimmick. yah, if you don't want to squirm and fling your arms around, you won't enjoy the Wii. but some people enjoy that level of interactivity.

I do think a huge "good idea" of the Wii company was the Wii Fit. That was a stroke of marketing genius and I have to admit, it's fun and the fact that it's fun, at home and relatively easy means a lot of people get good use out of it.
