The strangest thing is that I've seen huge amounts of people complain about Final Fantasy X voices, especially the Yuna and Tidus laughing scene. I thought that scene was stupid and their fake laughing very fake, but beyond that I had no problem at all with any of their voice acting.

If I accept the truth of that, then the voice acting talent for FF XIII must have gone down a lot... Either that or I'm just seeing FFX with nostalgia blinding me.

Either way, this is only a minor gripe. None of the voices were on the level of Tynave and Farleen like in Star Ocean 3, and I'm sure I would get used to them quickly once I'm actually playing. And as a Final Fantasy, the worst it can do is just not meet our outrageous expectation. I have no doubt whatsoever that the game will still be excellent, even if not fully satisfactory to fans.
