Hah! I hear you. I don't fit the standard for many reasons.
First characters:
Fallout 3: Hyper intelligent male that fought using unarmed combat techniques and preferred to manipulate people to get what he wanted, but wasn't above using energy weapons he had repaired against certain enemies.
Mass Effect 1: Female that would always get the job done, with close-cropped blond hair, and a small scare across her left cheek. Great choice in that voice actress, IMHO. "You change sides to often." *BANG*
Dragon Age Origins: Humane male that was a mage and openly bisexual. I romanced Leliana dumped her before it got too serious, hooked up with Morrigan, moved on to Zevran and currently amusing myself at the Black Pearl in Denerim. "The men."
