I can't remember that room, but gamefaqs has all the help you could ever want. Check it out. *NM* Aemon Send a noteboard - 25/03/2010 06:46:20 PM
Ok, noob question coming.

I picked up the GoW collection pack (yeah, a bit late I know) in anticipation of GoW-3. Started playing through GoW-1, everything moving along just fine, digging it, and then......it all comes to a screetching halt.

The last save is titled "Treasure Room". I'm in a section where there is some rope swings to a platform of treasure chests while off in the distance numerous archers are firing away making it very difficult to actually open the chests (which I've done). There's also a bridge to cross, and on the other side is a platform with columns that has a moveable, large, crossbow-type device on it which points towards the screen (at the player if you will). There's a few other rooms as well.

I'm completely stuck. I spent a good 1/2-hour or so cruising around, trying in vain to figure out the puzzle. Obviously the crossbow is involved, and for some reason I feel like I need to shoot out a wall-portrait of a dude that you see as you cross the bridge towards the crossbow (except I can't turn the crossbow itself). There's nowhere for me to go, and I'm stuck. It's pissing me off. I'd like to complete the game, but I'm getting close to just quitting and moving on to GoW-2.

I know it's something simple that I'm overlooking, as it nearly always is in such circumstances. But any help.....ANY....would be greatly appreciated.

So for those who've played through already and have an incredibly good memory for such details, could you help a brother out please?

Thanks in advance.
