Journal: Entry for Delireus

My costume shop boss calls me, I didnt hear it so she left a message saying how the shop will be doing a lot of hard sewing stuff this semester and how she knows I want to concentrate on props so maybe I should take off this semester. I called her and she told me it wasnt me they had a problem with, they just think maybe its not the best time for me right now to be working, but maybe I can come back next semester.

So I was polity asked to quit, It was completely my decision, I could have said no, I want to still work there, but we all know what was being said between the lines. It was my choice, but there was no fucking choice. No one said I was fired, it wasn't spoken, but it happened.

Its my new manager in the shop! Dana, my costume teacher and the true head of the shop, she doesnt even know whats going on. When 3 people quit and one is fired in 1 year, it's not us, it's our new manager. This shit never happened with our other 2 bosses (we change managers a lot, people get better offers, or sometimes a student is the manager and they graduate)

I've been there for 3 years, which I know isnt long for a job, but in a college costume shop, it's pretty damn good.

FUCK.

Silver lining? I can nap after classes now. Thank god I got a student loan this semester. I have a back up job, I know a guy who will hire me. but shit. This hurts. Dont be a fucking pussy and just tell me if fired, tell me you dont want me. dont ask me what I want to do, dont act like there's a choice. If I had said i wanted to stay, they'd have gotten more aggressive and said Hah just kidding! You're actually fired.

Thank god this isn't real life. It's just a part time job at college and I have a 5,000$ refund check for bills and shit, which is now gone to bills, food, and rent, so a job would have been great. But thank fucking god.
