Go AWAY and leave me the hell ALONE.

Stop hurting so much. All the time. Just STOP. I can't focus on having any chance of FIXING the problem if I'm hurting too much to function. I can't drive properly if I'm crying.

...but you should really consider seeing someone. It's possible that therapy and/or medication can help you (even if it's temporary, if this is in response to life events and not a general behavioral or personality trait). But "hurting too much to function" is a sign that there is a problem, and there are people who have the knowledge and expertise to try to help you fix that problem.

Tried Counselling (it's free through our Employee Benefits Package) but it was quite useless.

I'm very wary of drugs, having had some very bad experiences with them with migraine treatment.

I'm considering talking to my GP anyway though.

And it won't go away just because you tell it to. You need to work through it- maybe start using a journal if a counselor won't work. Take it seriously and force yourself to be honest about you AND her, etc.

And can you say you gave the counselor the opportunity to work? Some people think they know better, and that there is nothing the other can say, but that isn't always true. There isn't some string they can pull to make the magic light come on- it's a process.

Also, if you're religious at all, start going to church. It's calming, and you'll typically hear what you need to hear from the sermons.
I think solving the actual underlying problem would be the best thing I can do.
Taking some steps to do that.

Also, going to take Sareitha's advice and at least talk to my GP. See what she has to say. Janet's been my doctor for about twenty years, I don't think she'd steer me wrong.
