I still contend New Coke was just a devious ploy to coopt the Pepsi market
The taste was remarkably similar, and if both Coke AND Pepsi were available from the same company, where would that leave Pepsi-Co (if you said, "surviving off Mountain Dew sales" you have clearly been paying attention the last 20 years or so.)
