Welcome to the info thread for the first RP mafia game. This game is going to be a little different from the usual games played.


There are three main topic threads of this game:

1) This one: Here you will find all the info I need to tell you or need you to tell me, both before and during the game.

2)Story Thread: This is obviously where the story goes on. In character. OOC will be highly frowned on. Since the setting of the game has different areas, I'm gonna ask that you put the name of the area your character is in into the title of your post. this will make it easier for everyone else to know who they're interacting with at any given time.

3)Poll and discussion thread. This is where I'll let you know what players are left in the game and where you can discuss the game to your heart's content, try to convince pothers as to voting, etc. Basically the stuff you're doing in the main mafia thread now.




What I need from you right now:
1)if you are interested in playing, please respond to the signup thread. You will not, however, be counted as committed until you post a basic profile.
2)Post a basic profile under the profile thread. Also, send me a complete profile at some point. You can find further information about profiles there.

Technical Stuff:
The game will run on two-week "days". This means that every second friday we will have a nighttime period that lasts until monday. On alternating weeks which are not followed by a night period, there will be a vote. Pretty standard so far. However this time you will not be voting to lynch a member. Instead you will be voting to give a player the power to kill on your behalf. This player will also eliminate a character during the night phase. While they have this power, they are immune to a mafia killing and whatever role they otherwise have is suspended.


RBIRL notifications: Please do not clutter up the story thread with these. You may put them in the discussion thread if you like, however you are not required to let anyone in the game know you are away except for me, whom you will NB please. If you are going to be away for an extended period of time, please do make some provision for your character though.
