Survey<

1. Do you favor rigid deadlines, semi-flexible but announced deadlines, post-slump activated deadlines, no deadlines, or something else?

I prefer no deadlines.

2. Do you want to see clues play a bigger or smaller role in games?

I like the variety. Clues are fun, but I think we as a group often rely too much on them.

3. How about roles? Have we had too many, too few, just right? Do you like to see role variants in play or would you like to see a bit less experimentation with that?

I love roles, and I'd always like to see more of them and different ones. I want more experimentation, not less.

4. Any roles you feel we see too much of, or not enough of, or that you absolutely despise?

We have too many vanillas. :P

5. How about sub-plots, midgame ‘Events’ or micro-games, do they interfere with or enhance the game?

I love them. I don't know that I'll do much with them as a mod because there's a lot of work involved in preparing, balancing, and executing them, but I love them as a player.

6. How about inactivity? Of the various options, from modkill to substitution, which do you prefer, and should we be ramping up enforcement or dialing it down? How many days is too many or too few, and should prior activity factor into it?

I'll use the VNTL in the next game I run, but other than that, I don't plan to do anything about inactivity. If someone wants to sign for a game and not play it, that's their call. If the other players take issue with it, they can always lynch or NK them for inactivity. Modkills punish everyone on the inactive player's team. I like the idea of substitution, but as I learned in my last game, it can be difficult to implement later in games.

How did I through ? under the bus? (and using punctuation after the word "bus" doesn't count) - 11/06/2011 04:19:43 AM 882 Views
Maybe not "threw," but it could have been a nudge - 11/06/2011 04:46:30 AM 881 Views
Which would have been near suicide for a scummer to do. - 11/06/2011 07:15:24 AM 715 Views
