I thought they were independent novels...?


The books all have a main plot that pretty much is introduced and finished in that book, but they all pick up without any sort of reset where they left off, the next year or the next day for some. The time in series from book 1 to now is pretty much identical to the time the books were taken to write. You could skip around more easily than something like wheel of time but they're best in order.
