I have never played an RPG on a MB before. I am very familiar with 4th ed. so that's not an issue. What kinds of characters are available?


Hah. You're probably more familiar with the system than I am then. While I've read the rulebooks through a number of times, the only occasion where I gathered all my players at one time, we spent hours writing the sheets, since none of them were familiar with the system, then the wizard figured there'd only be traps inside the crumbling old ruins and foolishly marched forward.

He survived longer than a 2nd or 3rd edition wizard would have, but he was still eaten by the rats. The game ended before anyone even entered the dungeon. Embarrassing all-around :D.

Anyway, the more backstory you provide for your characters, the more I have to work with in scribbling down the mechanics. As I've written above, the core rulebooks don't really have any of the WoT-designed classes, so unless everybody was playing a Fighter, Ranger, Rogue or Warlord, I'd have to design classes anyway. Just as well make everyone unique.

Don't bother with classes, concentrate on concept instead.
The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
