The link roared into existence, spewing energy forth into a darkened realm. Out strode a new presence. Ghavrel stared into the new board, a featureless plain. Only two objects marred the ultimate stillness of the board—the citadel-like Announcement of the Webmaster Himself, and Ghavrel's own link, which subsided into nothingness at the wave of its creators hand.
That same hand now was raised and held high. It paused, fingers pointing upwards, before flashing downward. Light burst forth from the sky, from the ground, from shadows themselves. Within seconds, a well-sized post stood. It was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the Internet. But it was a beginning.
The unlimited potential of the RPG board had been called into play for the first time. But it would not be the last...
