In Haral's office... - Edit 1

Senior Lieutenant Haral was a veteran of many battles, though his hair was now more grey than black, and the wrinkles on his weathered face competed with his scars. Though his right arm was missing, he still wore a sword at his belt.

The officer sat at his desk in impeccable uniform, dark eyes raising only for a second to give you a sharp, inquisitive glance as you enter, otherwise fixed on the unfurled scrolls on which he scribbled constantly, between rolled up scrolls, a writing box, a silver goblet, a few stacked volumes and an unlit lamp.

The office is a small room, with large windows - on the third floor of the Fortress, such luxuries were permitted - behind his back, through which you can see the still rainy sky. The only other items in the room are a full suit of armour at ready disposal in one corner, and a tattered banner of a black swan on a field of yellow hung from a wall. A pair of chairs placed against the opposite war are covered with half-empty trays of food and drink.

There are small doors in the side walls leading to other rooms, and from time to time, you can see a servant come in, carrying in new supplies, or taking away filled forms.

Finally, the senior lieutenant looks up and asks "Well? What are you here for?"

Out of Character: Isaac, you recognise the sigil on the banner as belonging to a moderately important House in Altara, Haral probably claimed it during the Troubles.
