In an extensive interview with George RR Martin, Mo Ryan of the Chicago Tribune confirms the long-standing rumour that Tamzin Merchant (currently appearing as Katherine Howard in THE TUDORS' final season) has left the HBO GAME OF THRONES project. The role is currently being recast.
This news was not surprising. With production of the 10-episode first season beginning in late June, expect major casting announcements for the remaining major roles to be forthcoming.
